Boorandara Bear Visits Caden
BB came to visit us during the school holidays, we had a wonderful time. BB came with us to see the Mr Men Show.
We went also bowling and saw some of our friends from school. BB had a great time watching Caden and his brother Liam learn to bowl.
BB got lots of exercise and fresh air at the park. He especially liked the huge slide near grandmas house.
BB joined us for a special treat – a trip to the movies to see Ice Age 3 in 3D! BB had his own set of 3D glasses – and guess what ….. BB ate all the popcorn!!!
We had a great time with BB and we hope that he enjoyed his stay with our family.
BB’s adventures with Joshua
Joshua had been waiting all year for BB to come and visit his family so he was very excited to finally have BB bear over to stay at his house.
BB had a busy week some of the adventures he experienced at Josh’s included:

While Josh was at school, Ben was at kinder and Isabella was asleep BB had some fun at Josh’s house, BB had a ride on a scooter, read some books, played soccer, played on the computer, had a chat with some friends and had a sleep in Josh’s bed after his busy day.
Unfortunately it was time for BB to leave Josh’s house and go back to school, We hope BB had fun staying with us we all had a great time and enjoy your next adventure BB!!! Josh XX
Boroondara Bear visits Evangelina
After school we went to Grandma’s house. BB ate dinner with me. On Saturday BB went to Greek School with me and I showed him for Greek show and tell. I said” arkoutha” the Greek word for bear.
On Sunday we went to visit my cousin Charlotte and we played with Bratz dolls. I played with Cloe. Nanny came home with us and she had a sleep over and I showed her BB. She said ” thats nice”.
On Tuesday I was sick . I had a bad cough. I went to grandma’s house. I heard a very loud noise. Then I saw a helicopter above grandma’s house. I saw it shake and shake and the noise was too noisy and it went round and round and round in circles. It stopped above the house. We went outside and looked up at it. It looked at us. Then it went away. “Its back” I said. “I think they will catch a baddie”. BB was at my house because he was too sick. That was a shame. Thankyou BB for coming to visit us.
BB’s stay at Lisa’s place
We had a great time with Boroondara Bear during his stay at our house. I introduced him to my family and my guinea pig and dog. My dog wanted to play with BB but we played with my lego. BB liked my mum’s cooking but the first night he was so hungry that he even ate the paper napkin!
He borrowed my toothbrush and slept in my bed. My dad read to us from my dinosaur book. That first night BB didn’t sleep well, he kept having scary dreams about dinosaurs who were trying to eat him. The next day I had my 3 way interview and Boroondara Bear came as well. I showed him my work and he loved my writing.
We had a busy weekend and BB met many new people. My friend Gabriella came over for a play and my mum took us to Hays Paddock. We had a great time and BB especially loved going on the swings. On Sunday we had a video conference with my grandparents, who live in The Netherlands. My Opa and Oma liked BB and taught him some Dutch words. After that, some of my daddy’s friends came over for a visit and BB was jumping on their heads. Then he had to go to sleep.
On Wednesday my neighbours came back from their holidays and came over for a visit. BB got to sit on ‘aunty’ Pat’s lap and we both got a present. I got a cardigan and BB got some chocolate, which we shared.
Today it was pyjama day and BB helped me pick out which pyjama to wear to school. After school we played with my train set. BB was the traffic controller and we had a lot of fun.
We loved having BB over at our house, we had a great time!!

Further Adventures of BB and Rachael
BB accompanied Rachael to Chaddy where he was introduced to one of her favourite shops – the “Build a Bear Workshop.” Here, BB could witness for himself, how bears and other animals are made, and all fully registered with birth certificates too! BB watched the children with delight as they each carefully selected their precious friend to take home.
On the weekend, Rachael and BB spent some time in the garden repotting plants and weeding. They also worked out on the trampoline together, bouncing with energy and enthusiasm. What a fun way to spend the morning! Now all that exercise had certainly worked up a thirst, so off to “Randas” (a cafe in Bentleigh) they went, to enjoy a hot chocolate and strawberry cheesecake. BB and Rachael then visited the Bentleigh Library to borrow books, DVDs and CD Roms.
On Sunday afternoon, BB was introduced to one of Rachael’s favourite pastimes: cooking. The pair busily baked a tray of delicious gingerbread men and women. They were having enormous fun icing and decorating them with smarties and chocolate freckles. But then, BB accidently dropped the container of smarties and they all rolled onto the floor. OOPS!! However, not to worry. Luckily, there was another packet of smarties in the pantry.
After school on Tuesday, BB was warmly welcomed into Rachael’s Creative Dance and Drama class. BB enjoyed the variety of music and games that Dee, the teacher, had devised. In the evening, BB attended the School Concert. He was so excited that he found it difficult from jumping up and down in his seat. BB thoroughly enjoyed all the performances and was most impressed by the way the children applied their circus skills to entertain the audience.
Boroondara Bear visits Rachael
Rachael took BB to the Monash Hotel Restaurant to see her favourite performer, Manni the Wizard. BB thought Manni looked terrific in his colourful starry costume. BB really enjoyed the entertaining tricks, especially the magically appearing dish of lollies which everyone frantically scrambled for, when they were thrown into the air. BB helped Rachael collect the lollies and he secretly hid some in his hood to eat later at home. BB was then as surprised as everyone when Manni repeated the trick, only this time, doves flew out! To conclude the night, Manni made everyone a balloon of various shapes-poodles, hearts and swords. It was a memorable night, enjoyed by all!
Boroondara Bear visits Petria
Boroondara Bear has had a busy week with Petria and her family.
On Friday after school Boroondara Bear went swimming with Petria and her older brother Richard. He sat and watched by the side of the pool while they had their lessons … he copied Petria by moving his arms and legs because he wanted to swim too.
Then after swimming everyone went home and got changed to go out to tea with friends. Boroondara Bear liked the restaurant as Petria shared her chicken and chips with him … however they also shared a chocolate icecream and Petria’s Mum didn’t know who had more chocolate on their face and clothes when they got home ! Petria’s Mum had to wash BB’s red jumper and clean his face.
The next morning Saturday no-one slept in as Petria and Richard both do Auskick. Boroondara Bear watched the Prep group which was being coached by Petria’s Dad run around. Auskick was having a special Mothers Day where everyone had invited their Mum’s to join in … Boroondara Bear laughed when some of the Mum’s tried to kick the football. Petria and her Dad had a quiet afternoon together while Petria’s Mum took Richard to a birthday party.
On Sunday which was Mother’s Day Petria and Boroondara Bear decided to wake Petria’s Mum up early because they wanted to give her the gift they bought at the mothers day stall. Petria’s Mum told them to come back later. For Mothers Day lunch Petria’s Gran and Grandad from Timboon showed up along with Aunty Simone . After a nice lunch Boroondara Bear enjoyed the chocolate cake for dessert.
The busy weekend left Boroondara Bear tired so he was happy to see Petria go to school on Monday. After school however he joined in Petria’s dance class in the school hall with a number of Petria’s classmates.
On Tuesday BB decided to stay home instead of going to basketball. Maybe he was afraid he would get left behind if the game was exciting and we would not notice he was gone when we all went home.
On Wednesday Boroondara Bear got to go to Petria’s karate lesson. He watched her count to 10 in Japanese, practice her kata and do lots of exercises.
On Thursday after school Petria had karate again so BB decided to stay home and watch some TV and look at books.
Petria has enjoyed Boroondara Bear’s company and sharing her bed with him this week even though he snores.
B.B Bear visits Gabriella
I was very excited to have B.B Bear come to stay.
B.B came to my Nonna’s house to have dinner, here he is sitting down at the dinner table. We also had desert, which was ice-cream and chocolate sticks.
We saw my Uncle Peppe who was visting from Broome.
On Saturday B.B Bear came to watch me at swimming, he got to wear my swimming cap and my goggles.
After swimming we made a Fairy Leadlight.
On Saturday afternoon we went to my Grandma’s for a sleep-over. This is a pitcure of B.B with a little bag I made with my Grandma.
B.B and I slept in the spare bedroom with my Grandma.
On Sunday we dressed up as Fairies, a cow girl and a Bride.
B.B has come with me everywhere and we have had lots of fun.

That night we had some popcorn and watched a movie. We loved watching the corn pop through the glass lid. That night B B slept with her new friends in my bed, there wasn’t much room left for me.

We also did many activities including Beading. I made her a special necklace and a bracelet to wear.
Painted canvas dinosaurs with the whole family, so much fun was had.
Thank-you for staying with my family over the Easter Holidays. I’ll be looking forward to when my brother brings you home, when he is in prep, so we can play again. Love Jordan
Miles smiles with the Boroondara share bear…
Last week I was given Boroondara Bear. I was very excited to be spending some time with him. When we come home we jumped on the trampoline together and I then introduced BB to my family.
It was nice to cuddle up with BB at night. He was snoring a bit, but that was OK.
Over the weekend we went to the park and played football. Boroondara Bear was a great goalie.
On Tuesday we played with Thunderbirds Island.
Playing with the rockets was a lot of fun. My whole family enjoyed having BB around.
