Boroondara Bear visits Jacquie
Jacquie and I went to the park to play soccer. I am getting quite good at soccer.
Jacquie’s brother Alex and her cousin Jesse also played soccer at the park. Then we played in the playground. We set up a shop and sold soccer balls. I had fun sitting on the soccer ball.
I had great fun doing ballet with Jacquie, Mollie and Alessia.
It was very warm outside so Jacquie and Alex wanted to have a swim but the water was very cold! I did not want to get my fur wet so Jacquie held me above the water while she swam which was a lot of fun!
It was Alex’s 3rd birthday so we celebrated it with some friends.
We all blew out the candles and had some cake.
I don’t think Stanley the dog had blown out candles before!
We got to watch a 3D movie and we wore special 3D glasses, which made the things on the TV jump towards us! Then Jacquie tucked me into bed and we had a great night’s sleep together.
BB’s comes to visit Cody & his family.
When BB Bear came home with me I was so excited. My Nan picked me up from school and when I got home I couldn’t wait to show Dad & Loz. I introduced to Mitch, our big dog. Mitch tried to nibble him, but I told him not to.
I went camping on the weekend with my Mum & Andy to Walhalla where BB Bear had great fun. We have had lots of exciting adventures with him and I’m glad that I have had a turn looking after him for the week.
BB’s adventures with Ava, part 2
After such a busy day on Sunday BB was secretly glad to have a lie in on Monday morning when Ava went to prep. It was lunchtime before he got up! He helped with the cleaning and waited for Ava to get home after school. Tuesday was much the same, except he didn’t get out of bed AT ALL! What a lazy day! On Wednesday he came with us to the park in the morning and then next door to our neighbour’s house for a swim in the afternoon. After that he went with Ava to her real swimming lesson and watched her from the side. He only got splashed a little bit. Tomorrow he is looking forward to going back to prep to meet another new friend who will take him on all sorts of new adventures. Ava says she’ll miss him, but we’ll follow all his adventures on this blog to keep her up to date.
BB’s adventures with Ava, part 1
Ava is so excited to have BB to look after for the week. As soon as Daddy came home from work on Friday night she ran to the door to show him off. At night time BB snuggled cosily into bed but his snoring didn’t wake her up at all! Today (Sunday) BB came with us to Eltham to ride on the miniature train. Ava held onto him tightly as she didn’t want him to fall on the tracks. Later in the day BB helped to make a carrot cake to go into the lunchboxes for the week. He said it was his favourite cake and helped to stir all the ingredients together. He also had a really good jump on the trampoline and managed to score a few goals with the basketball. He says he will miss Ava when she goes to prep tomorrow but he can’t wait to go swimming with her on Wednesday.
BB visits Andrew
BB came to visit Andrew on Friday and we introduced BB to our family and dog Chloe.
On Saturday we went to Isaac’s birthday party at the Kew traffic school and of coarse BB came too.
BB had lots of fun playing on Andrew’s scooter and obeying the traffic rules. BB even went into the little houses and other vehicles there.
We had so much fun playing with BB and loved to take care of him for the week. Every day BB waited for Andrew and his sister Georgia to come back from school and play with him. How fun it was to have BB for the week. We hope that every-one else will have a great time with BB and loved being the first ones to get BB for the year.
Boroondara Bear visits George
On Friday BB came to visit George’s house. BB, my Mum and Dad, my sister’s Eva and Angellica & me all went to my grandparents house for dinner, because my Aunty & Uncle were visiting from Sydney. We had lots & lots of fun. My Papou gave me & BB a ride on his shoulders. He always gives me piggyback rides.
On Sunday BB and my family and I went to the football to see Carlton vs Hawthorn. Hawthorn won and we were sad. BB & I did lots of cheering & BB had a little rest in the carry bag but he wasn’t comfortable. BB tried to have a sleep but he couldn’t because there was too much cheering. After the football we were all very hungry & so we went to Colombo’s Restaurant for dinner. BB ate all my chicken nuggets & dipped all my chips into the tomato sauce too. It was very yummy.
Every night BB slept in my bed. He was warm & cuddly.
Thank-you for coming to visit BB you are welcome anytime.
BB visits Hamish
On Friday 7th May 2010 BB came home with Hamish to stay. We were all very excited to be introduced to BB as Hamish had told us so much about him. On Friday night he was treated to McDonalds for dinner, and my what wonderful manners he has! He even shared his chips!
Early Saturday morning, BB went to Auskick with Hamish and took some great marks. This was the start of BB’s sporty weekend.
On Saturday afternoon BB went for a bike ride in the park with Hamish. They loved chasing Jack, Hamish’s dog around the oval (it was great exercise for Jack) . BB was pretty tired after that but still had enough energy to go Lawn Bowling with Hamish’s dad and play with Hamish’s dog Jack back at home.
On Sunday, it was Mother’s Day. There was no breakfast in bed for mum as Hamish’s big brother Alexander had football at 8.30am. BB, Hamish and his mum didnt go as they were still tired from all their exercise on Saturday. However we all took mum out for Mothers Day lunch and had pizza and ice cream. BB thought it was very nice.
On Monday, Hamish took BB to his weekly OT session. He got to play on the flying fox and had great a time bouncing and shaking in the Rainbow Swing hammock with Hamish.
It was great to have BB stay with us. He slept everynight in his own special bean bag in Hamish’s room.
We will miss having him around as he was very polite and very quiet…
Cristina & BB
Cristina was very excited about having BB stay with us. She was especially excited that BB got to stay with us over the school holidays.
The first thing that Cristina did was introduce BB to all her other teddies. BB quickly made friends with them all. His best mate was called Freddy the Teddy and we think that BB had a crush on Izzy the Teddy. We even caught them kissing one day!
BB also loved playing with Cristina’s other toys. His favourite was Cristina’s roller-skates. He would practice roller-skating everyday. Sometimes he would fall over, but he would get straight back up again and skate some more.
During the Easter long weekend we went camping to Yarrawonga with some of our family members. While we were there we did lots of activities. We went swimming in the river (BB couldn’t go in as he didn’t have his bathers), played mini-golf (Auntie Nicki won) and went for walks to explore what was around us. Cristina and BB’s favourite thing at camping was roasting marshmallows on the fire. They were gooey and delicious! On Easter morning Cristina and her cousin Brody went on an egg hunt as the Easter bunny hid lots of chocolate eggs for them. Even BB got an egg!
During the school holidays Cristina went to her friend Noah’s 8th birthday party. Noah loves everything Star Wars so decided to have a Star Wars dress-up party. Cristina’s Nonna made her a Princess Leia dress especially for the party. She even made one just for BB!
Cristina had lots of fun with BB over the school holidays and will miss having a special bear to share her adventures with.
B.B. visits Thomas over Easter
B.B. spent two weeks with us over the school term break. We did lots of activities with B.B and him and Thomas had lots of fun. However, the highlight for Thomas and B.B. was a visit from the Easter Bunny. This year the Easter Bunny decided to complicate the egg hunt by leaving lots of different clues, so finding Easter eggs was a lot more difficult but also a lot of fun. They found eggs in the oven, and chocolate chickens in the bug catcher, there were chocolate carrots up high in the tree branches and hanging on the lemon tree, Thomas and B.B. even found eggs in the gumboots!!! We wondered if anyone else had eggs hidden in such crazy places!
We loved having B.B. with us at home and felt very lucky for having him over the school holidays.
